How to Use Crypto to Pay for Your Course
If you’re new to cryptocurrency, here’s a simple breakdown of how to use a trusted exchange (like Kraken) to purchase and send crypto for your FOCUSED SketchUp course:
Step 1: Create a Kraken Account
Go to kraken.com and sign up for a free account. Kraken is one of the most trusted crypto exchanges worldwide, with strong security and an easy-to-use dashboard. You can use another exchange if you like, the process will be about the same on each.
Step 2: Verify Your Identity
Follow the platform’s steps to verify your identity — you’ll need this to connect your bank account and comply with local laws.
Step 3: Link Your Bank Account
Once verified, go to the Funding section and add your preferred bank account. You can then transfer funds (USD, CAD, etc.) into Kraken.
Step 4: Buy Crypto
Once your funds are deposited, use Kraken’s interface to purchase Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), or XRP.
Step 5: Send Your Payment via NOWPayments
FOCUSED SketchUp is using a secure, trusted crypto payment platform called NowPayments to facilitate our crypto orders. When you’re ready to enroll in a course, use the links in this blog post (below) to select the course you want, or click the Pay with Crypto option on the checkout page of the course. You will see a page similar to this:
Under the Step 1 section, use the dropdown to select how you would like to pay: Bitcoin, XRP, or Ethereum. Then click the blue Next Step button.
Enter your email address, phone number, and full name into the form (all are required) and click the blue Next Step button.
NOWPayments will provide a wallet address and the exact amount of crypto to send. Just go back to Kraken, select Withdraw, and paste in the wallet address provided. Complete the transaction in Kraken, and then complete the form next to the checkout area (in the Step 2 section). Click the green button to submit your information to FOCUSED SketchUp, and this will tell our team to verify the crypto transaction.
Once your crypto payment is received and verified in our wallet, a member of our team will manually enroll you in the course and set up your account in our system. Because this process involves human verification, please allow for a 6 to 24 hour delay before you receive full access to your course materials. We aim to complete this setup as quickly as possible, and you’ll receive a confirmation email as soon as your access is live.
